Make something old, NEW!!

It is always fun to find something at a second hand store or on ksl.com that is exactly what you wanted in every way, shape, and form. But, that's usually not the case! I needed a end table and I had about 30 bucks to do it with... so I didn't have much to work with. My only option was to make some new. I went to the DI and found this end table for 6 bucks!

So the first thing to do before painting is sanding. Get the fine sand paper and give your item a good sand, and a good bath! You don't want to paint over dirt (I do that alot, it doesn't turn out well!!)

Now paint your Item. I ALWAYS use spray paint! FOR EVERYTHING!! I love Design Master (found at roberts or Micheals 6-8 bucks) and Painters Touch (At Home Depot, 3.44 each)
After your Paint is dry you paint a glaze (Ralph Lauren glaze at home Depot for about 15bucks) over the piece, then wipe it off.
Do a portion at a time. Paint, wipe, paint, wipe.... and so on...

Until you have the whole piece done! Its fun and easy, and there are tons of different glaze colors so get creative and try something new! Have fun with it and I hope you love your Item as much a I love mine!
