How to make YOUR Christmas tree AWESOME!!

I am sick and tired of a tree, some balls and a star on top... Everyone needs to spunk their tree up and add a little bit of themselves to their tree! And here is how to do it!!
I always start with ribbon, usually 2 kinds.. And don't wrap it around the tree.. take the beginning of the ribbon and a branch of your fake tree (if you have a real tree don't fret, you just need wire) and wrap the tree branch around the ribbon so it stays.. then make a loop to another stem and wrap it so it stays.. (if you are using wire, just tie the ribbon to a branch with the wire)

After your ribbon is on start hanging the bigger balls around the tree.. then make your way to the smaller balls...

Now take some stems (you can get these anywhere) and bunch them up into clusters..
Then wrap some wire around them so they stay together, and just stick them straight into the tree.

Stick them in various parts of the tree like this....

Next is the fun part! You really can put anything on your tree as long as you have WIRE!! Here I took a boa I had, cut it up, and Stuffed it in different places...

The I took some wire and wrapped the boa around it so it could stand up.. then used it for the top of the tree...

Put anything you can imagine on it!!! These frames were a dollar each at the DI.. I got 6, painted them red, then wired them on the tree.. (and framed my FAVORITE ornament, my pickle!)

After you have wired on all your fun treasures like my Halloween bird mask (middle left), fun frames, and signs... start on the treetop, here I just stuck in the extra stems I had, and the wired boa... But I do think it is missing a little something on top... So as soon as I get my Christmas family photos done I will stick a frame up on the tip top with the photos in it... To make my tree MY tree! Get creative with your trees.. and if my post inspires your tree, I would love to hear about it, or better yet SEE it!!! Happy Holidays, and check back later this week for some more Christmas decorating ideas!!

BABY LEGS.......

Okay so I am sure you all know how to do this, and are thinking "Haley, come on, your a little behind the times.." But I was excited about these so I figured I would show you!!

Baby leggs... anywhere from 4.99-12.99, I love them but I just can't afford them! so at target the other day I was passing by the adult socks.. These were 2 bucks... So I decided to make my own baby leggs... and here is what I did........

Take a pair of socks and just them right above the heel of the sock...

Now you can just be done there. Or if you don't like the raw edge, sew a stitch along the bottom.. and there you go... but I went a step farther...

cut slits about an inch away from each other....

Then take some ribbon, cut it the size you need, and burn the edges.... Always burn the edges of your ribbon. It makes it not fray....

Then loop it through the slots and Wallah ... cute baby leggs....
