Yard Sale!

I am having a Yard sale this weekend! There will be Dressers, Glider, Tv, Home decor, Frames, lots of barely used (some still with tags) baby girl clothes and toys!! AND MORE! It will be at 2930 e. 450 n. (go down the street by costco and follow the Signs) from 8 to 1

Chalk Board table!!

So the other day one of my good friends at Tattered to Flattered made an adorable little framed Chalkboard and it got me thinking... If you can make a Chalkboard with chalkboard paint, you can make anything into a chalkboard.. Then came my Chalkboard Coffee Table!! originally I wanted to do a chalkboard dining table but then I thought about plates on a chalkboard.. AHHH! no way. Next best thing.. the coffee table...

Here is is Before...
And AFter!!

I really love how it turned out! And Mckinley Loves that she can color on a table!!

oldie but a goodie!

This is the first Chair I ever reupholstered! My Old computer shut down and I just got all my old stuff put on my wonderful new computer, and I came acrossed this photo.. I just love how this chair turned out!

BUT!!! here are a few things I would do differently now!

1- Make sure you pattern is straight before stapling (the top part is not centered correctly)
2- Spray paint is SOOOOOOO so much easier to you! (I paint this with a brush.. SUCKED)
3- A little distressing would have added some character (not that the bright green alone doesn't)

other then that... i still love it!!

M!!! for MEHR!

Okay.. So, This is what my door looked like two days ago.. Embarrassing.. I know. My poor beaten wreath is gone now and replaced with a fun, bright, "Wishing sping was here" M.
And Here is how I made it!

These I bought at Wal-mart for cheap.. Get as many as you need for you letter. Mine is a M

First you cut them into the shape you need...

Then hot glue them together. (very easy right?)

Here is my Marvelous M glued!

the cover it with fabric, so the foam doesn't show through.

Now you glue on the fabric flowers (how to make these is on the next post)
Glue big ones on first then work in the smaller ones.

Add some buttons and ribbon, AND.... you have an Awesome, Bright, M!!
(or other letter)

Take a closer look!!! I am in love!

If you aren't in to the scrappy look try and more subtle approach. I made these flower balls a year (ish) ago, with the same (foam) idea in mind. But I used round balls and just poked the flowers in. You could do the some thing with your foam letter!!

here you can see the foam..

hope that inspires you! Happy crafting,
HALEY

EASY PILLOW!!!

I made this pillow the other day so I could add some blue around the house.. And I was surprised how easy it was!! So, for all you people out there spending 40$ on a pillow like this.. STOP NOW!! This pillow cost me 4 bucks, took me about 30 minutes, and I got to let my inner pyro out!!

Here are the very easy steps:
1. Buy a pillow.. basic. (I got mine at Ikea for 99 cents)
2. Buy some Organza fabric ( mine was $3 a yard. and I got 1yd.)
3. Get out your hot glue gun, and LIGHTER!
4. Cut organza into 3ish inch strips and burn all the way down each edge.
5. Hot glue the fabric in a spiral starting on the outer edge onto the pillow...

then..... Wa LA!!
you go from this......

TO THIS!!!
